EVENTS GALLERY is a new App owned by Events and Places Africa LTD for users to discover upcoming events and happenings in Uganda and across Africa. Through this app you can find out where friends are hanging out, get events recommendation based on the events you have attended and never missed.
This is our Privacy Policy to make things clearer for you. Event and Places Africa promises to protect your data and to manage any information you may share with us. If you choose to use our Service, then you agree to the collection and use of information in relation with this policy.
In order to give our users the best user experience, some personal Information is collected and used in providing and improving the Service as indicated below.
We collect and use the following information with your permission and in context
Personal Information: When creating an account we ask you for your name, email, and location. This is used to customize your app user experience like when you comment on an event. Generally, it is for your personal identification
Permissions: The app, depending on what you want to do will request permissions including the following. All permissions requested will be used to improve features and service usage on the app and will be granted by the user.
Read phone state, in case you want to contact the event organizers.
Access your storage, to pick picture/image to use while posting an event
Location, when you want to post an event with a venue location and when you want to get recommendations about nearby events
The content you provide: the information/content that you share about the events you post is purely your content and you should have copyrights to the same. This information is not shared with any third part. We will not be in any way liable to any copyrights infringement or any legal matters that you or your content posted to the Events Gallery app as a user might cause.
As of now, we do not share any information with any third party whatsoever, however, we comply with Law enforcement or legal requests as per the Ugandan Law.
On this note, we share information with law enforcement or in response to legal requests in the circumstances outlined at the end below.
We will not use or share your information with anyone except as described in this Privacy Policy.
We may employ third-party companies and individuals when need arises however, we will update this policy and also let you know of such developments.
Responding to legal requests or preventing harm?
We access, preserve and share your information with regulators, law enforcement or others:
In response to a legal request (like a search warrant, court order or subpoena) if we have a good faith belief that the law requires us to do so. This may include responding to legal requests from jurisdictions outside of the Uganda when we have a good-faith to belief that the response is required by law in that jurisdiction, affects users in that jurisdiction, and is consistent with internationally recognized standards.

We also retain information from accounts disabled for terms violations for at least a year to prevent repeat abuse or other violations.
Your Account and Information Deletion
We stongly believe in your Privacy, Security and trust while using our App and services. In the event that you want your account and information be deleted contact us at eventsandplacesafrica@gmail.com with Subject: Delete My Account and include your user email or usernam. The account deletion process will be initiated and followed through
We we are working on a better way through which account deletion process can be initated from within our App to make the process easier and quicker and will update policy as soon as that is done
